Water pump flex line

I’m installing a flexible water line between my water pump and the solid pex line that is currently plumbed directly to the output side of the pump. I’m wondering if I can just use a normal ½’’ NPT threaded male/ barbed adapter from the flex line to the threaded female connector on the pex or would I require a special fitting with an inside taper, I see the ones that came with my new Shurflo pump have a flared or inside tapered type fitting.
