Water Pump Issues

Took a maiden run with a new 2010 Flight 24 RKS and loved everything except the noisy water pump ( sounded like a jack hammer under the fridge ). Did not have these issues with my 1975 Ideal TT. Came home and and removed the pump ( not easy ) and am installing a replacement Shurflo with the noise reducing hoses on both side of the pump in a more user friendly location. Directions say not to have any 90 degree fittings within 18" +/-. Factory pump had 90 deg ells at the pump. I am not concerned with freezing so plan on taking the antifreeze valve out. Any reason why I should leave the other on/off valve in the line from the tank?

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum DougFritz! We don't experience that particular noise on our tt *grateful*. Can't answer your question about the valve. Sounds like a neat MOD though. Can you post your final result in the MOD's forum?

Another good thing to help with pump noise is to put a rubber mat under the pump. I used a mouse pad. It made a real difference.
