What do you use for tire change on the road?

I did this poll not only to see what you use but I want the new users to think about what would they use if case of a flat.
The safest jack is the Trailer-aid (for side of the road repair) but if have a slow leak a can of fix a flat works well.

Bottle jack. Compact, inexpensive and can be used for a multitude of uses.

I use the jack that came with my PU. It seems to work well. I never had a flat tire but changed a few dew to bubbles and bulges on the tires. I usually check all the tires every time I stop.

I use a Trailer-Aid. I also pack a 5 ton bottle jack.

I've unfortunately had way too much experience changing tires over the years.

I've had 7 tire failures, and I've changed 6 of the 7.

Sorry forgot that one I don't how to add now that the poll is open. But you do know the trailer aid would work well for you as well check it out. Very safe to use on the side of the road.

Gma-n-Gpa's answer was best. I'd try my Good Sam Road Service first but failing that, I have a Trailer Aid and a 6 ton bottle jack that I carry.

Wow I never thought of what if!!!!!!! As in the past I used my truck jack for our pop-up dont think that will work on the 22FB. Being a newbie to the duel axels I need to work on my options while I have it in my driveway. I would hate to scratch my head while on the side of the road saying “only if I did planned for that while at home”

I have a 6 ton bottle jack. I also carry a torque wrench for tightening the lug nuts to the proper torque. A half-inch ratchet with a short extension is used for removing them. I find that a lot easier than using a lug wrench.

FYI for those using bottle jacks- On some trailers, your jack might not have the reach to sufficiently raise the trailer when fully extended (mine won't). However, as an RVer, I'm sure you'll have some leveling boards, Lynx levelers or something else handy to place under the jack to help extend its range.

And no matter what tools/jack you may use, always remember to pull that fancy spare tire cover off periodically and make SURE you have air pressure in your spare. Don't know why they are sometimes low or flat since they are not used, but it happens sometimes. Murpheys Law, I guess.

I'm surprised at how few voted for scissors jack. My TV scissors jack can easily lift my trailer.

My first choice will be my cell phone. Next would be plugs from my quad. I do carry a small air compressor. Last thing would be my truck jack and 4 way lug wrench.

I can change a tire faster than it takes for road side service to arrive... so unless it is snowing or raining out I will do it myself...(till I am no longer able)

I screwed marine plywood in increasing lengths together to make ramps to drive up on- These ramps also come in handy when the campsite is not very level-JMHO- DD
