What Is This Material Called?

I have a '92 Jayco Cardinal that the family bought new. It has not been on a trip since 1998 and has just been sitting. No one wants to go camping anymore, so its getting past on to me. It needs the surge brake system refurbished, but I found a really good video on that process. My question today regards the name of the plastic material that I guess is just a cosmetic thing to cover screw heads. I need the name so I know what to ask for and purchase.

I dont know the name but it is found easily at most rv shops or repair facilities. I bought some last year and was very happy to find out that this is not an expensive item. Some folks have it precut and some sell it by the foot so be sure you measure how much you think you will need for the job. It is mostly found in white but there may be other colors available. It's easy to install. Before you do put the new stips in place, look at the screws behind the old stip and if you see any rust be sure to run a thin wire brush over them then dab them with some silicone.

I believe I seen it on Amazon.
It comes in a couple different widths.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...20vinyl%20trim

$13 for 100ft

Best regards,
Doug

In my RV Parts Catalog the seam covering is simply listed as varieties of "Insert Rail"... There is "Roof Edge Insert", "Drip Rail Insert". "Insert Trim" (what you show in your picture), and "Insert Awning Rail"

As the auction shows, the vinyl fastener covering is simply called "Flexible Vinyl Insert"

I like to remove those rusted screws, coat the treads on the new ones with polyurathane caulking and screw them in.
You can find good prices on the vinyl insert on Evil Bay, just measure the width of what you have to make sure you get the right size.
when you put the new stuff on,try not to pull and streach it as you insert it into the groove,it shrinks back.
On some of my previous TT's they put a screw in each end to keep it from moving.I've found on my new to me Jaco Eagle, that they used polyurathane to glue each end in place.

I have never made it a habit to play on the roof.... Is it strong enough for me to get on top just to replace rusty screws and replace the insert stuff? I would hate to cave it in at this point in its life.
