Winegard ConnecT in Canada with own sim

My rv was equipped with a winegard connect 2.0 which has OTA TV, wifi boost, am/fm, and 4g lte data which you have to pay for. The plans are expensive, $120 per month since i’d need to get the us and canada plan. I want to use my koodo (uses telus tower/sim) for the winegard data. Whenever i try it always says access denied. Others were able to get it working by changing the APN, which i did. Was anyone else able to get their own sim working. If anyone else has another carrier in the US (Other than att or verizon) and was able to use it in their winegard, how did you do it?

I don't know about the US sim cards, but up here in Canada the only sim card that will work is Rogers. I've been using it now for 4 years without issue. Just find a good cell phone plan with Rogers with lots of data and you are good to go. You just need to go in and change the setting to lte.mobile in the Winegard for the sim to work.

Koodo also works, i was able to get it working, the sim i had put it was not activated. I had to change the APN since it was set to telus. I think any sim works as long as it has the technology for it, which is most of them.
