Wires in Battery Compartment

Our 2016 Pinnacle have 2 positive cables and 3 negative cables in the battery area. Does anyone know why there are so many of them? We are solar prepped but not set up for solar.

Thanks in advance.

They shouldn't be too hard to follow.
Someone has to be able to work on it so the cables are accessible somehow.
If you have the residential fridge I would guess a positive and neg is for the inverter.
I would guess the other of the pos goes directly to a breaker close by (the main)
One ground is going to the chassis ground... the other one somewhere else.
If there is a pos/neg 8guage then chances are it's solar, but Jayco goes to a breaker first with the solar wire then to a power post, but maybe they ran yours from the 30a breaker to the battery. If they are bigger then 8gauge then they aren't solar prep wires.

Thanks...after the storm roll through, will go back down to investigate further. Love how the cables are marked.

I just yanked the coach battery in the Greyhawk and I think I saw 4 positives and 1 negative. Nutz

Searched the Jayco bag again and finally found paperwork - 1 piece of paper that was stuck to some others.

One positive goes to the generator (which we do not have) and the other positive goes to the battery disconnect & inverter. The negative cable is the inverter ground. The "double negative" cable is the converter ground & frame ground.

I guess you have the genny prep.
Where does the generator pos go to?
Is it safely capped off. I would think it should have had a beaker or fuse close to the batteries for safety (shorting out)

Yes prepped...the cables were not clearly marked so it took some "work" to get the batteries connected correctly. All is well
