wiring haloview side marker light cameras

After wiring the Haloview side marker light cameras I did a test drive. When I put my left turn signal on then applied the brakes the monitor went dark/black with no image on the screen. The right side did the same thing. The side marker light cameras are on a 2019 Jayco Pinnacle. What do I need to change or do to power up the cameras?

Curious if you ever found an answer. Thinking about adding side cameras to ours with SMART system and camera looking at has trigger wire wonder if that will work.

No I haven't been able to solve the problem. Haloviews advice is not to hook the trigger wire up. I did contact haloview for help. They didn't have a solution.

What year, make and model is your tow vehicle? Some newer trucks, like GM models, have an issue where the electrical feed through the 7 pin uses pulse width modulated signals which can knock out the camera feed. On my Furrion setup, I bought the adapter which changes which pin feeds the cameras and the problem is now solved. Might be worth investigating how your cameras are wired to see if the same simple approach would resolve your issue.

Not sure if the Furrion adapter would help since most of the chatter and use is for 2020 and newer GMs that specifically have the PWM electrical signals for tail and marker lights. Here’s a link to etrailer website for the adapter with lots of details and Q&A info that might help you decide if it’s worth the investment.
