Browse manufacturer FAQ, warranty would be their dime. I've heard running a micro empty isn't a good practice.

A little more info may be helpful, when you say comes on do you mean just power when the breaker is off, or it actually is on and running

Have a buddy with a wilderness that returned to his trailer after a afternoon on the lake. Found the microwave running & it had become so hot that the plastic around the door was soft ! Take warning it may cause a fire if left go. Unplug that thing & get a new one !

Just keep a fresh bag of popcorn in the microwave and you're all set!

Welcome to the forum.

Like previously stated, UNPLUG IT!

If your unit is under warranty, call your dealer. If your dealer cannot do anything about it FAST, then call Jayco customer service and the microwave manufacturer. It is an appliance malfunction and hopefully you can get it replaced quickly.

x-2, and if it has done this several times it likely has damaged more than what ever is causing it to come on.
New microwave is the solution. Warranty or not.

wiring issue

Thanks for all the info regarding our microwave issue. I talked with jayco and they said they would not replace or repair the issue unless we paid out of pocket for the repair . Because we live in the unit full time they said the trailer was not meant to be lived in full time . So thanks for all the replies .

Call them back.........more than likely you will get a different person on the phone.

Don't say anything about living in it. (It really should NOT matter)

Just get microwave replaced.

You could contact the microwave manufacture, as it should also have a manufacture's warranty. Our TV died about 51 weeks into ownership of our HTT, I called the manufacture (I think) and they sent me a replacement. The TV manufacturer had a 1 year warranty.
