2017 Melborne 24K - brake controler??

I have a new 2017 Melbourne 24K on the Benz/Sprinter chassis.... when I was buying it from Camping World, they quoted and invoiced me a little over $200 to purchase and install a brake controller in it , telling me it was "all hardwired for it".... well when they went to do it the day of delivery, they told me it's "not so easy" on MB/Sprinter..... they haven't been able to come up with a solution... have any of you with this chassis have brake controllers on them? How did you do it? Appreciate any help.... thanks..DW

Welcome DRW55

If your chassis was properly equipped with the trailer tow prep wiring from MB, there will be a green connector under the driver seat. From that green connector a jumper harness will need to be made to mate with your brake controller harness.

Tilt you drivers seat forward or look through the bottom of the fuse panel and see if you can locate 1/2 of the connector. It should be taped on the floor under the seat somewhere. If you have that green connector, I can give you the MB part #'s for the mating connector and pins needed to complete your harness. The completed connector will look like this.

In addition, approximately 4-6' of jumper harness will need to be made to run from that under seat location to where you want to mount your controller. I ran my wires up under the plastic foot well cover and under the rubber mat under the dash for a nice neat installation.

Here is a link to the PDF document listing the mating green connector and pins needed to complete the harness. I hope this link works.
