Mods.... can we rename this thread 2020 GM HD’s vs 2019 or something similar. Poor choice of title and I sent it off the rails. Plus, there’s another thread, similar title that’s more fitting.

Got my hitch rails and plug installed today. Hooked up this afternoon for the first tow. So, I have to concede that the overload springs of the 1 ton provide a better ride than the sumo’s on my previous 3/4 ton. I really didn’t think that would be the case. Truck sits level and pulled very nice. Also didn’t think I’d see much difference between the LML engine and new Duramax. The L5P has considerably more power. Not too noticeable around town, but pulling it becomes evident. Over all very happy. I won’t rule out ever reinstalling my sumos or some airbags, but first impressions, I’m good stock.

Great! Man it would have been nice to see some pics, I went out today and hook mines up and put about 25 psi into my airbags to bring it up level I look good but I didn't pull it nowhere.

I’ll get a pic next time. The rear does sit about a 1/2” lower than the front per my tape measure, but the ride is nice so I’m hesitant to do anything about it. Loaded, it’s sitting on the top overloads. We’ll see what happens as things break in a bit more.

Yeah, and that's how mine was but since I had my controller and I didn't want to sell it just to get peanut I decided to add to it.

So by increasing the max gvwr to over 10,000 lbs all the numbers went up, but this moves the 2500 into the class 3 trucks doesn't it ?
