I traded my 2018 3500 6.7 930 lbf∙ft Aisin trans and 410 gears with auto level for a 2019 6.7 HO 1,000 lbf∙ft Aisin trans and 410 gears with auto level and I love it. The new truck tows stronger and rides better if that's even possible. A little over 5,000 miles and worry free. FYI get the auto level it's worth every penny. Also got a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty after talking them way down on the price could not afford not to get it. Loaded Ram Laramie 4X4 3500 HO dually 66k out the door!

Looks like a great deal on a very nice truck. Congrats and enjoy.

Just for the humor of it, I'm going to be the exception in the campground. My father was a dealer for his entire life, and I grew up in the business. Since REO, Nash, Crosley, Oldsmobile and Pontiac aren't made anymore, I'll discount wanting one of those (humor). He loved his GM vehicles, and I've had my fair share of them over the years. In 2004, I grew to like the Tundra much better, and owned two of them. Actually was looking for a third one. Now, just to throw a monkey wrench into it, last week I broke the mold entirely. Traded for a F150 SC, V6 turbo...and it's white. Never owned anything like it, and didn't think I ever would, especially to tow a trailer...so much for thinking. I'm a self proclaimed rebel...

Rams consistently outnumber GM and Ford in the more rustic CG's. In RV parks I see more Fords. I'm talking heavier towing like 5th wheels.
In the light weight tow I see more Fords than Ram or GM in all CG's. Ram and Tundra outnumber GM easily.
This is in the PNW.

Just for the fun of it, I'm going to count what brand, and how many we see this summer when we get to camping season. I'll do a detailed report for the northeast later this year. Stay tuned, folks! Right now, our favorite parks are under several feet of snow from Thursday's storm.

I've owned all of the big 3 over the years. Currently in my stable are 2 Rams, one Ford, and one Chevrolet (add one MB if you want to count vans). All have their pluses and minuses and I buy based on what fits my needs at the time of purchase. I have absolutely no brand loyalty.

What does a warranty like that cost?

driven both fords and GM's to be honest which ever is cheaper and doesn't have a crap load of current issues is the one I buy... never buy another first year though...

the GM rides a whole lot nicer than the ford though...
I am not a follower so if there are more fords I will buy a GM if more GM's i will by a Dodge.. after they put that allison transmission in it..

I think we got them down to $3,000. I wasn't going to buy a warranty as I usually trade before the warranty is up. But they gave me top dollar for my trade and a great deal on the new truck so I couldn't say no plus were retired now and may keep it awhile.

I never owned a diesel truck until 5 years ago. I can't afford new so I was trying to decide between a 2006 Ford Lariat with the 6.0 and a 2005 Dodge SLT with the 5.9 Cummins. I called a "Diesels Only" shop near me that worked on all brands and talked to the service manager. He told me of 4 different problems that weren't "if they happen" problems but "When they happen" problems with the Ford 6.0. I responded that I "hear you talking me out of the Ford" he said "I hope you heard that". So I asked him about the Dodge, he said "Well, we have had to rebuild the transmission in those a couple of times" and he quit talking, I said "yeah but what about the motor?" he said "if it's had good maintenance 350k miles trouble free". Just to complete my education I asked him about the Duramax because I had been a GM guy all my life and thought that that motor with the Allison trans was the "Cadillac". He said "Well, I own a Duramax, but you're still going to replace the injectors between 100 and 120k miles at a cost of about $4000. I know that the 6 liter Ford was an anomaly and has been made much better in subsequent models but that was the facts about what I was able to afford. I bought my '05 Dodge with 180k on it based on his advice and it now has 235k on it and I love it so much that you will have to pry the keys out of my cold dead hands.

Not a bad price for a 7 year bumper to bumper!! Wouldn't take long to go through $3,000 in repairs!

We had a few vehicles
OLD Chev Suburban 5 door. Love that truck, standard, I needed to put a pillow behind me to reach the petals, then the husband turned it into automatic, and moved the seat ahead for me.( stolen found the parts in Surrey) they cut it up.
J20 Pickup yellow and black Hated it no room in the front. the dog would sit on me.
95 Dodge 2500 diesel good truck, but was getting tired.
2018 Chev Silverado 3500 crew cab, ( the dog wanted it for the back seat.)
We had a Full size GMC Jimmy 1980 to drive daily to work, before I sold that.
My Dad drove a Ford truck and my Brother drives a new Ford truck, But he lives in Ontario and I live in B.C
I think I have the better Truck and place to live. ( Just saying )

I just got a 2020 Silverado SRW 3500HD LTZ with the 6.6 Duramax. Replaced a 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ with 6.2 and Max Tow package. Primarily to tow my Jayco Octane to riding areas as well as to my son's kart races. Just did a weekend family trip to Virginia to break in the vehicle before first two, 600+ miles round trip. Best 50 mile segment got 23.8 mpg, overall trip got 21.8 mpg. I'm pleasantly surprised at how quite and smooth the engine is. Ride was much better than I expected although I did lower pressures to 50 front 45 rear after doing a lot of research on what is needed on an unloaded one ton truck. With the 8 ft bed it's not a tight turning truck but the camera package makes it much easier to maneuver and park in lots etc.

Haven't towed with it yet, coming up in another 10 days but I'll chime back in with my thoughts on it.
