Air compressor for the road

I went to the storage yard last week with my portable compressor to air up the tires on my TT. I read somewhere that that tires should be somewhat overinflated for storage. My tires are rated for 80psi cold, so I planned to air up to 100psi. My compressor is only rated up to 100, so I just couldn't get there. Then it occurred to me that if topping off to 80 at a campground ... it will take forever. What compressors do you use on the road?

I have an 'older' version of the Porter Cable pancake compressor.

I don't think you should air your 80# tires up more than 80psi.................

Right from GOODYEAR on to how properly store RV tires if not removed from the vehicle.

Inflate tires to recommended operating pressure plus 25%. Ensure that the rim manufacturer’s inflation capacity is not exceeded

Maybe I don’t understand the math, but isn’t 80psi plus 25% more than 100psi?

No it is 100. 80 divided by 4 = 20 + 80 = 100

I use this one. It's inexpensive, watch for 20% off coupons and it's cheap and it runs off 12v!

I use this Ryobi, works with all my other One+ batteries/chargers and it’s cheap.

That's the one I've been using for about 4 years, mainly because I don't have access to 120VAC in my storage lot. It works fine for 50-65 psi tires. But I think it would probably run a battery down trying to air up 80-100 psi tires.

I've topped off two tires at a time from 80psi to 90psi without any issue! I have solar though to replenish charge...
