Save your money. An often discussed topic on RV forums all over the Web. Consensus seems to be deflectors are fairly effective at redirecting bug splats on the front of your towable, but not much for improving fuel mileage. I've seen more TV's towing fifth wheels using air deflectors than I've ever seen towing TT's. The air turbulence under and behind the trailer probably creates even more drag and reduces fuel mileage than is lost at the front end. Have you noticed the number of OTR trucks on the road with the under trailer skirts, and even a few with that cone shaped contraption on the back end of the trailer? I have read the combination of the two devices can produce some fuel savings, which averaged over a fleet adds up I guess........

From what I understand a roof wind deflector would have to be wide enough to deflect the wind around the "rear" of the TT before any real fuel advantage would be incurred.

When I bought my used crew cab rollback truck for my antique car business a number of years ago, it came with an air deflector on the roof of the cab. Removed it to repaint the truck a couple of years later, and didn't re-install the deflector right away. There was no noticeable change in the MPG, on or off. So I echo thomasmnile's suggestion to "save your money". JMHO
