Yeah, it was extra. $3000 extra. The salesman hit me with it the day i was buying the truck so i didnt have any time to research or think about it. I didnt know they still offered it. He said i can cancel it and get full refund if i want, so i said yes to it. It is the first warranty i have ever bought for anything in my life.

I don't think that is too bad really. My son, who is driving the Nitro, just called this weekend with an A/C compressor clutch shredding itself. That isn't under the powertrain warranty so he is fixing it himself. I would help but he is stationed 5.5 hours away. If you plan to keep the truck well into the 100k+ miles range, you will probably use it for a front end rebuild at sometime. I had to have the front of my 03 Ram 2500 rebuilt 2 times in 20k miles for bad ball joints. Warranty would have paid for itself easily.
