Another hitch height question

I recently bought an new TV the truck sits right at 3 inches higher than the old one. When I hooked up the TT you guessed it my TT is sitting out of level by 3 inches. My shank is allready on the bottom hole, so I guess it is obvious I need a longer shank just asking is there any other way to adjust before I spend a $100 + for a new shank

Not that I can think of for 3 inches. A new shank is the only remedy.

Can your shank be flipped over? Some can be flipped. Then install the ball on the other side to turn a 'drop' into a 'rise'.

Ditto on the new shank. Upgraded from a 2008 Chevy 1500 to a 2010 Chevy 2500HD. Took it to a local tire shop to break loose the nuts holding the old shank and to torque the new one. Good to have the nuts properly tightened on these things.

Same here. I went from a '96 Suburban 2500 to a 2010 Ram 2500. I needed another 2 inch drop in hitch height. I bit the bullet, bought a longer shank and have been happy since. Spend the time to get the hitch height, tilt and WD bars set right.

When I up graded from a Tahoe to a HD Chevy I called my Jayco dealer and he swapped my 2" for a 2.5" for free.
