Another tire issue

I think I need new tires on my trailer. On this trip we are on the sidewalls on my left side are rubbed from touching the road I believe and I get quite a bit of bounce too. I checked the pressures and the are at 45 psi. I looked at the load ratings and at 1825 lbs each they can't even hold the weight of the trailer at full load 7500 lbs gvw. They are c rated marathons, I am thinking of going to a d rated tire to get the bounce out.

how old are the tires ... I would check in the tread for cracks because right when ours was on the 5th season we had one blowout and when I was changing it I noticed all four had dryrot cracks in the tread so I bought 4 and put them on on the side of the road ... didn't take a chance as I have had it happen before on a motorhome and after I changed the flat I didn't get five miles down the road and had another one blow out ... and I would definetily go D range

Just a note..., keep in mind that 10% to 15% of the 7,500lb GVWR (to actual TT weight) is tongue weight, and the tongue weight is supported by the TV, not the TT tires. But yes, they do cut the load ratings close.

I would run those tires at the cold pressure rating on the sidewall. Going up from C to D will give you some extra capacity but don't neglect to consider the tv is carrying part of the trailer at in addition to the trailer axles.

I would say that D rated tires would be the best choice for a trailer that size. I would think any bounce is most likely from the springs and not the tires.

I will be replacing the tires on our 22ft summer trailer and will go for a D rating just because they might be a little tougher.
