Anti sway vs Chevy trailer control

Can you run an anti sway trailer adapter in conjunction with Chevy trailer sway control, Chevy recommends that you do not use an anti sway along with Chevy trailer sway control. The question for me is does one cancel out the other?

What are your thoughts

I have a Yukon XL Denali with electronic sway control. It’s probably similar to your Chevy system. I did a little research when I bought my travel trailer. As I understand it, electronics on the Yukon can sense trailer sway and apply the trailer brakes if needed to control sway. A mechanical anti sway hitch is fine but the manual recommends against adding electronics to the trailer to control sway as they might interfere with the vehicle electronics.

I towed my trailer for one season for a few thousand miles in a lot of different conditions. I didn’t have any sway problems.

GMC Denali here. We use an Anderson hitch/sway control WDH.. No conflict with our trucks system.
I am still learning but the way I understand it is the truck tries to stop sway while the hitch helps prevent sway from starting.

I bought our Andersen for ease of hitch/unhitch but also love the simple sway control of the friction cone. My 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee has electronic sway control but it has never gone off as the Andersen has kept sway down to such a minimum it is not noticeable or electronically detectable.
