I wouldn't buy a truck any other time than truck month, the rebates are huge.
I don't have the employee discount, and it's not truck month, but I have everything else. Thanks for that information. Helps a lot.

Check with USAA as well. They will give you a no haggle price, the same as Costco. I'd compare the prices and then you have an idea of where you'll be.

I just ran across https://www.gmmilitarydiscount.com/ and that looks promising. If I understand correctly, I should be able to combine the military discount with any other discount. Last night, I got the Costco, navy federal, usaa, penfed, aaa, gmc military forms all filled out.

I looked at a new one in Sept fully loaded 2500 GMC $92000.00 but no trade and cash purchase got them down to $75000.00 before we even started negotiations. (Canadian Pricing sorry)

As an update -

Was negotiating with Flagstaff Buick GMC over the last week. The would only offer me 16500 for a trade in on my truck but said they could sell me a truck for $53000 OTD. Talked and texted with them multiple times a day for a week. Sold my truck only after they lowered the OTD price down to $47938. I got $22000 for my truck and gave the dealer $1000 over the phone. Bought a $23000 cashiers check. Have my loan check ready for the remainder from Navy Federal. Truck was supposed to be delivered today. Got a call from the finance guy at the dealer late Friday night so they could get my bank info. Just as he is about to hang up the phone he says "so Morrison will see you on Sunday and pick up the check for $23000 and the check from your bank for $47938." You can guess my response. They changed the deal we had for the week. I have numerous text messages stating what I wanted to pay ($48000 OTD or $20000 trade in and $28000 from my bank). I have numerous quotes from them ($53000 over the phone from sales manager Jimmy, texts from Morrison for $47338 and $47938). I received an email saying $24000 down and $47938 OTD, was a little confused by that and verified with a text that it was not $24000 down and an additional $47938. Morrisons reply was "lol, no, it's $24000 cash and OTD for $47938). When I talked to Morrison on the phone later that day, I specifically said I will give him a check for $23000 and $23938 on Sunday. He says sounds good and thanks me for my business. Later was when the finance guy called.
Sales manager Jimmy emails price as on sale for $63940, down payment $24000 and finance $46938 yesterday. I reply with the fact that he specifically told me himself $53000 OTD before trade in on truck at $16500. I ask for his GM and Owner information.
Later I get an email from the owner with a reply that I think I wasn't supposed to see. Jimmy is saying I was talking about a gas truck not diesel. Wrong and I send all of the text messages and emails to the GM and owner stating I want them to honor our agreement. Crickets so far.
They made the mistakes, I never changed what I was saying and we were talking about a specific truck, not a hypothetical truck. They are the ones who made the mistakes to put it lightly or are trying to pull a fast one. Only after the fact do I see they have a D rating with the bbb for good reason.
In my reply to the GM and Owner I even told them I still want the truck, but they would need to give a fair price at best just for the problems and stress I have gone through.
Now I don't have a truck and will have to hurry to find one. The only reason I was dealing with these people in the first place was they had the colors and options I wanted.

I shopped hard for my GMC 2500 Duramax before I made the purchase. Did a lot of internet shopping also. I found a dealer in Kellogg ID named Dave Smith Motors that does most of his business on the internet. He was about 3K less than any dealer I could find including Costco with what I was looking for. When I went to pick up the truck I was impressed with the volume of vehicles on the lot and the number of sales people on the phones. I would guess there were 30 sales desks that were manned and I asked how many vehicles they had in stock. The sales guy I was dealing with did not know but I would guess over a thousand. Looked like a NFL parking lot on Sunday! I told them what I wanted on the truck including color and they came through. The hardest item to find was the tan interior. They will give you a quote over the phone but not in writing. I asked why and they said when they give it in writing people use it to work another dealer. Their word was good on the price quote they gave me. I had the truck in about a week after I made the deposit. They had to do a dealer trade to get exactly what I wanted. The phone call may give you something to work from. You never know as I bought my 5er in Tucson.

Last reply/update for this thread.

Only replies I have received from the dealer (Flagstaff Buick GMC) was I was wrong and they were right. The level of professionalism at this place is beyond below the gutter. I still can't believe how bad they messed up the deal. This just goes to show, and I have learned this lesson before so I should have known better, everything has to be in writing. Me taking the sales managers information as fact, as well as taking the salesman's text/word for the deal being correct is not enough. Although I asked for multiple quotes via e-mail, I only received one and it was not correct, even though I specifically asked if I was correct via text right away. Another lesson, check the BBB.org to see what the companies rating is BEFORE doing any business with them.

Last, but not least - I bought a new truck. 2015 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4. The deal was really good on the 2015 trucks and it has everything I want. Personally I still like the GMC better, but after going through all of that garbage above and having issues with my local Chevrolet service department in the past, I decided to take a leap and go with the Ford.

Don't know if this helps but I bought my 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD 4x4 DRW LTZ 6.0 gasser about 3 months ago, mint condition (not even any dirt under powertrain) for $32k out the door. 100,000 very clean highway miles.

Same truck new MSRP was over 65k if I remember.

Rats, I was wondering whether you went with the 6.7l diesel or 6.2l gas.
