Auxiliary Fuel Tank
I have an RDS 45 gallon tank. Bought from northern tool. Got a solenoid that I wired to one of the upfitter switches to open the valve while in transit. Works good for me.
Note: the RDS 45 is a narrow, tall(ish) tank. You cannot use a bed cover with it but it does maximize the useable floor space in the bed since is only 8 or 9 inches deep
Don’t mind all the junk in the bed! Lol

Only because I like you Jack, I went out and took some pics! My mother bought me a DeeZee 40 gallon gravity fed aux tank for my birthday from Amazon. I did the install myself. I don't think I'd want any bigger of a tank. It's about my limit for when I want to stop. I've been very happy with it and frankly should have done it sooner. I also purchased (at Tom's direction...at least that's what I told my wife) an electric solenoid that I wired to one of my up fitter switches. When I get to about half tank on my fuel gauge, I push my up fitter switch and watch my gauge slowly go back to full...It's awesome!! Here are some pics, so you can see some of the space that I have left between the tank & hitch. You can also see where the fuel cap sticks up a tad into the tonneau cover.
EDIT: I see Tom beat me to it. Also, there's a ton of install video's on Youtube for this sort of thing.

Thanks Tom and Dan......
Trying to figure out what to get......LOL
Thinking about DeeZee 106 gallon.
It’s higher than I really want. Was hoping for one under bed rails, just in case I get a tonneau cover sometime.

I did the combo box and tank, and welded a stand so I didn’t lose the whole length of bed.

I went with an ATC gravity feed aux tank. Its a 32 gal tank. Works awesome, love having the extra range and the ability to fill when I want, not when I have to!

I’m running a Titan 40 gallon trekker tank and the whole thing fits unfer my tonneau cover and in the 6.5 foot bed with 5th wheel hitch.
This has a fuel pump and I’m running power through a up fitter switch. Hit the button and it adds 5 gallons, works great. Also has a fuel gauge that actually works.
Install took about 5 hours and I took my time putzing through it. If I had room for 50-60 I probably would have done bigger. I also looked at other brands and it really came down to availability, this is the one tank that had a pump that I could actually get on my timeline. It was also local so will call pick up was a way to save 160 on shipping.
No pics right now as I’m on the road but PM me and i can text them to you if you want to see my setup.

I have an RDS 60 gallon tank. I usually do not fill it completely, usually 1/2 to 3/4 full. It is convenient to fill TV while camped. At CG, I will just throw the manual lever and let it start gravity feeding and then close it after under body tank is near full. My only caution is to not let it stay open on a hot day, as it can fill past the point of where pump would shut off at fueling station, then fuel can expand and you may have diesel fuel overflow from your TV.

I just installed a Titan XXL 55 gallon replacement tank in my TV today. After researching all the options and the love of my bed space I went this route. Had it out and replaced in 1.5 hrs and no additional holes, hoses, solenoids or what have you.
Clean install and easy fill. Just another option to consider.
Looking forward to towing all day and not searching for fuel stops in addition to potty breaks.

I put a 52 gallon Titan replacement tank in my Sierra 10 years ago. It was the best option possible. Doubled my initial fuel supply and has been absolutely trouble free.

My mistake, it is actually an ATTA tank. Here is a link to their site:
https://www.attatank.com/categories/...TOOLBOX-TANKS/
It doesn't look like they still make the one I have, but they have similar ones. I bought mine locally when they agreed to meet the best price I could find, which was a little over $600.
I liked the low profile. I was able to put stuff like storage boxes and coolers on top of it and did not feel like I totally lost that space.

Ok, I got it wrong again. Went out and looked at mine and it is a ATI (aluminum tank industries). So that link is wrong for the one I posted. The rest of the info is correct though.
Sorry for the confusion.

I went with the Titan 50Gal OEM replacement on my 2015 F250, one of the best thing I've done to date. Really apprecaited that on my recent drive to CO as western Kansas was sparse with fuel stops. I used to worry all the time about making it to the next diesel stop but no longer is it something I have to be worried about.
