Can't use the snap-up brackets on my WDH

No space on the Octane 222 to place the snap-up brackets and have the chains vertical on my newly purchased Pro series RB3 WDH - battery tray is in the way and it's welded to the frame. Looks like I'll have to get a set of chain hanger brackets and drill some holes. I intend to reinforce the back side with a steel plate as well. Any issues I need to be aware of to go this route?

The same snap-over frame brackets can be bolted on too. Cut the top part off and if possible leave a 1/4 to 1/2 " of the 90 degree on the bracket but it is not necessary. You even can weld them on but replacing will be harder to do. Be sure to use 5/16" or 8 mm bolts an option is drill holes and tap them with the according tread.

Excellent idea, and was my thought as well. Then I realized the battery tray would not allow the snap-over frame to move up past horizontal, unless maybe I mount them lower? I'll have to run out and look.

If cutting and welding is involved, I'd be more inclined to move the battery tray.
