Having read several threads concerning noise from WDH's, I have to ask, are there any "normal" sounds?? I do hear a popping sound when turning, to me it sounds like the chain links rubbing and shifting. Is that normal?

Pretty much the norm. Just make sure the ball and arms are greased some but alot of times the sway bar is the cause.

I know I am late to the party on this one but we had the same issues last year after deer camp. On the way home it was so embarrassing and we thought maybe we goofed on the chain links for the WDH. Well we couldn't diag it and this summer I realized that we were over tightening the Sway Bar. A lot a noise for a 1/2 turn too much for sure. So now we tighten it down until it is snug and then back it off about 1 turn or more.

I have the equalizer hitch and that popping noise is letting me know it's working.
