Curt 5th wheel hitch adjustment?

Hi,
We purchased our first 5th wheel last fall. A Jayco eagle HT 27.5 RLTS and love it. Camping world included a Curt hitch for my 2016 FORD F-150. I do have a Morryde pin box as well. The issue is that there seems to be quite a bit of "slop" between the king pin and hitch. You can actually hear the excessive play when starting and stopping. My question is this, Can I adjust the play in this hitch? I drove tractor trailers and never encountered this much play. It seems like maybe a 1/4" of play or more. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Which Curt hitch? I have the A16. I get a bit of the chucking you describe on rough surfaces, but mostly, it's pretty smooth going. To answer your question, with mine, there is no adjustment. I poured over the manual pretty good and nothing in regard to that.

I'll add that my chucking I believe to be mostly due to the slider mechanism. It's has a small amount of play in it.

I have an A16 non slider and love it. Very easy to couple and un-couple. I have minor chucking but it doesn't seem like any more than I hear most people describe from theirs, and I agree, there is no adjustment in the jaws.

Thanks TX mine is the A16 as well. I was hoping that there was an adjustment. IF I decide to bite the bullet and get a new one, I'll have to decide between the BW and Reese etc.etc. I do like the slide feature though if I need it in tight quarters.
