EAZ-lift R3 WD hitch

Looking at purchasing a new Jayco 224bh in the near future. The dealer I'm dealing with will be installing the EAZ-lift R3 weight distribution hitch and was wondering how well they work. Any information will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about that particular hitch, but I would want to ask how difficult it is to hook up to the trailer, from an angle. It appears you need to be straight to the TT to hook it up, unless it's very easy to disengage, and engage the friction sway feature. There are a lot of good WDH hitches, but I'm kind of partial to the Equalizer brand. Just my .02 worth. I'm sure you'll get some more responses to your question.

Thank you for the input. I've looked at both eqal-i-zer and Fasway e-2. The dealer didn't mention any other systems than the R3. I believe your right with the truck having to be straight with the trailer when hooking up. Thanks for responding.

You're welcome. I know in out circumstances, the truck and trailer are straight with each other very few times. The dealer we bought from tossed the Equalizer in with the deal, and set it up for us. That may be a negotiating point for you.

Good luck, and have a good time with the purchase. Let us know how it works out. Perhaps your first camping trip to the Blue Jay Campground, it it's still up there.

Thank you! Will do. Yes it's still here. About 2 miles up the road from me! First trip will most likely be at Lake Eaton or Fish Creek!
