Equalizer hitch

We had a 28 foot camper that we towed with a Toyota Tundra had a equalizer hitch on it with torsion bars. We bought a Jayco Humingbird 17rb and want to use the equalizer with the torsion bars.My question is would the set up work or would it create other problems

Welcome to the forum.

Your tongue weight with the Hummingbird will be a lot less than your 28foot unit. Do you know the hitch manufacturer and its weight rating?

Cal Bender,

Welcome to JOF

Check for any WDH restriction stickers (weight rating maximum) on the A-frame of the Hummingbird 17RB....., some of the smaller lightweights do have restrictions noted.

As mentioned, knowing more about your WDH will help with responses.

Bob
