Fastway Zip Trailer Breakaway Cable
Are there any recommendations/opinions as to this product?
My new camper's steel breakaway cable broke and this product looks like a good replacement, probably the six footer.
I'm a little concerned, though, that the coiled Zip Cable might have enough pressure to pull the pin on the emergency switch.
Thanks!

Once it pull out full length it will pull the pin. Why not use the 4' instead that's about standard length.

I prefer the 4’ w/o the coils. I use cable clips to route them out of the way.

Thanks, gents. Much appreciate the input. I'll study this a little more.
I was able to take a look at both lengths of the Zip Cable a few days ago and the four footer looks like it would put more pressure (due to the coiling) on the cable that might enable the pin to be pulled free.
In thirty-five+ years of pulling campers this is the first cable I've shredded. I've never had the breakaway switch engage and don't think I'd care to witness it first-hand.
All best, and thanks again.

Used this on my first TT. The original cable was a bit too long so I gave it a shot. The coil was not strong enough to pull the pin and the gentle tension kept the cable free. Worked for me.

I have both I like the coil cable because when I disconnect it just hangs nicely out of the way.

John I bought the 6’ for my fifth wheel after backing in to a site at a campground and jacking my truck a little too hard. It pulled the cable out of the breakaway switch..... and for a little while I couldn’t figure out why trailer would not hardly move.........
Plus it’s a real PITA to put it back in breakaway switch when truck is not straight.
I actually bought a 4’ also for my flat and enclosed trailers.
I think you will really like it.

Our HTT has this brake cable. I was concerned at first, but it works great, it is out of the way, does not drag on the ground. It has never accidentally engaged the brakes. It has never got caught up in the WDH. I like it.

Love mine, its so easy and out of the way when not towing. Just had to update to the longer one when I put on my ProPride.
