Ford 6.7 diesel
How are they treating everybody? What are your mpg and service intervals? Still shopping around for a new or newer used truck

I work for a Diesel parts wholesaler, and that 6.7L Ford diesel is a solid engine with a great Bosch fuel system. If I was buying a new diesel right now it would be the Ford 6.7L or a Chevy Durmax. That is just my opinion based on what I see and hear from a lot of diesel repair shops.

It is my understanding that after the 6.0 and 6.4 they have finally got it right.

It looks that way clutch. First Ford built PowerStroke, 7.3L,6.0L,6.4L were all International built engines. Ford engineers had a lot of pressure to get this one Very Right I think.

I did hear a rumour that Ford had hired some engineers from Cummins to help design this engine.

I'm on my second 6.7 and love it. Stock it has plenty of power to do whatever needs to be done. When towing with my 2011 my mileage would drop from 14mpg to 9.9mpg. That's towing my 351 RLTS at speeds up to 75mph. I haven't towed yet with my new 2012 Long bed yet, but will be in 2 weeks. The 2012 is getting between 17.5 - 19mpg which is better than the 2011. Since 2011 was the first model year I'm sure they had some bugs to work out and that would be why my 2012 is so much better. It's SOooooooooooooo quiet you can't tell if it's actually running or not.
Not a fan of the DEF stuff, but what are you going to do? This 2012 is also better at not depleating the DEF as fast as the 2011 did. The only difference in the 2 trucks is the 2011 was a short bed and the 2012 is a long bed.

I absolutely love mine. Pulls like a dream, quiet, smooth, decent fuel mileage etc...Mine has just over 17k on it now and haven't had any issues. Ford got this one right! Get one...you won't be disappointed!

Parents have a 2011 F350 King Ranch 6.7L. They love it, so smooth and quiet. They had a 2000 F350 7.3L before that, it was a solid truck too, besides the CPS sensor going out twice. He had 400,000km on that truck when he traded it for his new 2011.

Well your parents picked the right engines. 7.3L was a solid engine and they skipped right over the 6.0L and 6.4L and landed on the 6.7L. I guess time will tell the longevity of this engine but it seems to holding together pretty well.
