Ford was providing the reducer with new vehicles, but in 2019 they stopped doing that. The 2 1/2" to 2" reducer is readily available at auto parts stores and online.
I would certainly get the reducer rather than replace the drawbar insert components. Mine fits plenty snug enough, and once you take up on the WDH it will put enough pressure on the insert and reducer to keep it quiet. Just remember to never leave the reducer in the receiver without the pin - it will fall out! Best to remove it with the drawbar insert.
I tow a 12,000 # dump trailer with my F-250 using the reducer with no issues.
Just don't try to use a 2" insert with some kind of home-made shim!
Using the reducer will not affect your tow rating because you are well under the weight limits for a 2" insert.
