If MPG's are a real concern a bicycle and an extra large poncho would be in order. I just got 9.8 MPG pulling my 5er in a 50 MPH headwind getting to the campsite...that evening while grilling steaks and watching my grandaughters having fun in the wilderness, I sort of forgot the "pump pain" that I had earlier in the day. That's what it's all about.

Good point Crabman. If I want to save on fuel I will just stay home. The most important thing to remember about retirement is that you should die the same day you run out of money.

Well if ya really wanna go cheap, how about walking barefoot with no shirt on and sleep on the ground. Great view of the stars at night. No bicycle parts to fail or ponchos to rip. Just the BARE minimum. :hihi:
