I just looked at my catalog and they list a 2006 but to be completely honest, I don't ever recall looking up parts for one. 2005 seems to be the correct year for US sales. But yeah...they need to manufacture it again. Ford sent us a brochure stating they may be bringing the Bronco back with a drawn image of what it may look like. U G L Y.

At one point we considered getting a Chevy extended 3500 passenger van with the 6.6 Duramax diesel. You don't get an Allison tranny with it but it's still stout. They are very tough to find so a special order is likely.

As others have already said the Chevrolet Suburban might be your best bet. YES you can still buy them, they are still in production and NOT just for fleet sales. We sale them pretty often at our Chevroler Dealership. Sometimes can even locate low mileage ones for our custmers too.

The Suburban HD is being re-released, but only for fleet as per the GM press release. I forgot it is said to be a 3500HD.
Maybe a dealer could still order one somehow for you.

Right, just double checking as 2jaybirds said it was still in production but I am guessing she meant the 1/2 ton. Hopefully she'll clarify.
Either which way we don't buy new vehicles anymore so a used one is just fine. If i could convince my husband I would love to find a 2013. I think a 2 year old vehicle is the sweet spot. Don't think he'll go for it though as we just bought the trailer. That is the one exception that we did buy brand spankin' new.

Any of the newer 2500 'burb's, especially if they are new enough for the 6spd would be a great tv!
Maybe 2JayBirds missed the part of the 2500.

Ford Excursion is the only choice for me. (3 kids St Bernard and my DW) Has enough room to bring who ever and whatever while still being able to tow most of the heaviest TT. I have the 2000 7.3 and wouldn't trade it for anything. There is tons for sale on the net. I wouldn't be scared of a V10 they are super strong with a lil regearing There is a ford-trucks forum that has all the info that you could ever dream of on the King od SUVs.

Getting back to this thread as I am once again on the hunt for the perfect TV for our family. Researched the Excursions and from what I can tell, even though they may have more power than my Expy, they do NOT have more payload. What a disappointment!! Looking at the Burbs but man, even the 10 year old ones are expensive!

I owned a Burb an X and an Armada the room in the X and the Armada is awesome
The burb is like a station wagon rides great but its hard to fit 7 adults the X 7 adults is like heaven. with lots of cargo room to spare. the X is built on a 250 frame where the Burb 1500 is built on a 1500 frame

I must of only been looking at one configuration of the Excursion. The 2005 6.0L 4x2 had a payload of only 1555#. The 6.8 4x2 has a payload of 2444#. That's good news I guess if I can find one.

Excursion are starting the get hard to find in the "rust belt" states, at least ones that do not have holes in them.
The Expedition EL (or Navigator L) has almost the same interior room as an Excursion and properly equipped has a GCWR of over 15,000 lbs (9,000 lbs trailer).
There WILL be an aluminum body version in (likely) 2018MY, and likely an 8/9 speed transmission. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine will likely have some updates by then.

Depends on $$, but here is an option we've been looking at over the last year. Custom Autos By Tim in Guthrie, OK. Most have probably seen some of his work and didn't know who did it.
