Hitch lock

I have read some of the better hutch/tongue lock systems don’t fit on Jayco trailers. I’d like to find a lock system that would at least discourage someone from drying off with my Whitehawk 23 MRB while it is in storage. I also don’t want to spend over $75. What do you use?

I use a Gorilla Hitch Lock. I would YouTube videos on various hitch locks and how to bypass them. There is always a way to get around the lock. Including portable grinders.

I like this hitch lock as the key is under the hitch, which makes it harder to drill out. A YouTube video showed someone with a loooong pry bar, pop it off.

If you have an electric tongue jack, reroute the wire and add a hidden switch, to turn the power off to it, so it wont move.

Also make sure to have a power disconnect switch that turns off power to the entire trailer, some do not turn the power off to things like a remote operated slide/awning, along with auto levelers (typically a 5ver issue).

I always had the gorilla hitch lock and was no way would come off easy by any means. Watched someone cutting one off and took him a good 15-20 minutes with power cutting tools and plenty of noise to wake the neighborhood

Appreciate the tip on a switch for tongue jack. I have been wanting to install a breaker on that circuit so fuse replacement isn't the result of extending too much.
