Husky

We just purchased a sport 17c and the dealer sold us a Husky WDH. Anyone use this brand hitch?

Which Husky hitch did you get?

I have the round bar and it works well for me.
I would like to upgrade to one with built in sway control when I get a new trailer.

Yes, we do. Actually on our second one, because we upgraded to a larger trailer and our original Husky would have been marginal. Works fine for us. We now have the round bar model, with sway control.

I pulled our current Coachmen trailer all around Michigan last year with a Husky Centerline TS hitch and it performed flawlessly. I replaced it with an Equalizer when our tongue weight got above 1200# but I immediately wished I had the Husky back. If they had made spring bars with a higher rating than 1200#, I would still be using the Husky.

Now both hitches will be going up for sale after only 1 season of use because the tongue weight on our new 330RSTS will end up being more than either hitch can handle. Hello Blue Ox.

I have a Jayco x17Z and just bought a GMC Sierra.1500...with the Husky ts centerline
system and it works great..now I have about 3 inch difference in shank height from the SUV to the truck..I will have to get another shank 12x6 to a 12 x 8..3-4 inches is just to much difference ..anyone else with a Chevy or GMC have the same issue?????

I just picked up a Whitehawk 23 MRB. The TV is a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel rated for 7,200 pounds. The dealer installed the Husky Centerline TS hitch and it has performed flawlessly. I am new at this so really don't have anything to compare it too but the setup has felt very solid so far.

That trailer is pretty lightweight, so you may not need a lot of weight distribution at all, depending on your tow vehicle. Looks like the GVWR is only 3500 pounds. We towed a Jayco of about that weight using our 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, after adding a brake controller and transmission cooler; it definitely needed a WDH, and we used the Husky Trunnion Bar with Sway Control, either the 31610 or 31621 model. Worked great.

We've upgraded to a Round Bar Husky with our new TV and TT, works great.
