Dad worked for Ford at the Dallas assembly plant which closed around 1970. I've always been a Blue Oval guy for that reason I guess. Over my 64 years and 14 vehicles (that I can recall) 2 have been non-Fords. It's no big deal, it's just what I prefer.

Dodge/Ram/Chrysler/Jeep could all be captured as Fiat.

(Just kidding!)

BTW, y2k+1 GMC Yukon 2500; haul two adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs plenty of firewood and various and sundries. I know the trailer is there (26 foot ultralight) but I never see the tranny temp gauge move even in the foot hills of PA.

My TV is a 2011 5.7l Toyota and it has never had ANY, I repeat never ANY issues ever. Not talking smack, but several of my friends have a certain TV with a Cummins turbo diesel and they both have spent mega bucks and time in the shop for repairs/maintenance... I would never ever buy one based on their experience. My next truck will be a Chevy/GM Duramax/Allison that is unless Toyota comes out with a 3/4 ton diesel. :-)

Dodge is my preference but I'd consider a GMC/Chevy 2500. Gas has been my preference as well based on my needs so far but I'd look diesel if I needed it.

Nothing wrong with Fords either and if I was in the market for a 1500/150 series, I'd look at Ford with the payload/tow capacity of the newest ones.

I'd never consider a Toyota/Nissan...wouldn't even look at them. That's me and not a knock on those trucks.

Once you get to 3/4 ton...it's pretty much preference to a brand at that point I think.

my last tv was a 06 f150 that was a great truck, no real issues
so i thought i would take a chance on a 05 f350 with the 6.0 well that lasted a week and i sent it back to the dealer and said i was buying duramax of cummins not dealing with that garbage 6.0 or 6.4 anymore

ended up with a 1 ton dodge, and couldn't be happier, looking forward to dragging the 5th down to florida in February with it

Add one to the Ford tally

2013 F-350, single rear wheels, 6.7L diesel. Loving it!
