Ever wished you had more light in the bed of your truck? When I bought my Tundra and ordered my ARE cap, I opted to not get the cargo light since the running lights would need to be on in order for the light to work. Now, I could have re-wired it to +12 constant but didn't. After all the people (including me) putting LED light strip on the awnings and under the awning, I got to thinking, why not install a set in the bed of the truck. While looking into switching options, I remembered I had some door jamb switches from an Astro van. These would work awesome for grounding the LED lights.
I ordered a set of white LED lights off Amazon for $9.99 and was set. I already have constant power in the bed from my 750W inverter so that was easy.
On the Tundra, you will find a rubber bumper in this location. I just removed it.
Fished 2 ground wires from the top. Soldered and heat shrunk the 2 wires to the switch.
Then I just screwed the switch into the hole. It was already the correct diameter!
