UPDATE!

Went down to the lake to pick up the camper on Tuesday for our upcoming trip this weekend. The trip is about 70 miles, half two lane and half interstate.

All i can say is WOW! What an amazing difference. Absolutely no movement in the camper whatsoever when it is in tow. Weather conditions were good with no wind, but I did pass several semi's and was passed by a couple of semi's with no feeling of movement at all.

I will update further next week as we are leaving tomorrow for a 500 mile round trip this weekend.

Very nice! Please update the thread after your 500 mile trip on your thoughts. When I order the trailer, I am going to also order the PP hitch..the extra measure of security sounds like it is well worth it to me

Sorry for delay, but work has been insane.

I dont know that i can add anymore though, other than to say this hitch is all that they say it is. The trailer does not move, simply put. I encountered just about everything in the 500 mile trip other than HIGH winds. Most wind conditions were in the 10-20mph range. Interstate traffic with semis is no issue at all.

I do need to get to the scales to make sure my WD is proper, as I only set up off of wheel well measurements, but it seems pretty close. Hitching up takes some getting used to and is an adjustment, but nothing major. If you unhitch properly, re hitching is no issue at all.

If anyone has any questions about any of it, please let me know and i'll be glad to answer.

Have you been to the scale yet? I'm curious to see what your tongue weight is with the hitch attached. I just picked up a ProPride and will be installing it on my '11 BHDS. My tongue weight was at 1280lbs the last time I weight it, so this hitch is going to put it up even higher, which is starting to concern me.

Anyhow, let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks,

- Steve

No I have not been to the scale yet, but, i can stick it on my tongue scale and see where it goes. Mine was at 1230lbs before the install, so close to yours.

I'll be back down to the lake next wednesday for a long weekend and I'll weigh it then. That's the soonest I can get you a measurement.

No rush, just curious really. It's going to be a while before I can get mine set up and get it out on the road. Thanks for checking it out for me though!

Seeing as I just purchased a 32BHDS and have a vested interest in possibly getting one of these hitch systems, I'd like to know how everything turned out. Still happy with it? What was the weight? Did you ever pick one up Texas?

Everything is great with it. No issues whatsoever, and pulls like dream. Hitching up takes some practice, but I've just about mastered on the first try.

Tongue weight came in at 1385, give or take a couple of pounds. Sorrry Texas, just realized I never posted.

I hitch up solo and found the very best thing you can get is a back up cam.. if you can place it near the top of the tailgate (or higher) it is great for getting the squ peg in the squ slot.
