Installing a Propride 3p on 32BHDS

My Propride hitch is getting ready to ship soon and I'll be installing it in the next couple of weeks.

Has anyone done an install on a 32BHDS or something similiar?

Any special tools needed?

Any modifications I need to be prepared for?

Thanks for the help.

Since it is similar to my Hensley you should be able to do it in a few hours with simple hand tools... but a floor jack makes it much easier to do...

Read the instructions TWICE before you start...

Installed mine two yrs ago on a denali 311bhs.. Only mod needed was to place spacers between the propane tank tray and the a frame. Took about 3 hours to install took my time. I also needed to add links to the chains... My propride will be for sale soon..just bought a FW. But that was the best hitch i ever had... And Sean at propride was great to deal with... I had equalizer for first hybrid, then reese dual cam for jayco 29x.

Installed mine a couple of months ago. Read the instructions, make sure you are on level ground, and you won't have any issues. Pretty much there are just a few wrenches you will need but that is about it. No drilling or cutting, the only thing I had to do is take off my propane tanks and the pan for them. There is a u-bolt that might need to go under them. When I put it back on I just put several washers by each screw enough to raise it over the bolt. FYI do not tighten the UBOLTS that go on the frame for the jacks to much or they will bend. This is an awesome hitch and while it costs quite a bit more I have never looked back and second questioned why I got it. If you need help call Sean...he helped me out with a few questions, especially the hitch height. Good Luck

Though we are now in a 5th wheel, we had a PP hitch on our last trailer. Best $$ spent on a TT. You will LOVE the way your trailer pulls with the PP. Take your time and follow the instructions and you will be fine. As stated earlier, you may have to raise the tray the propane tanks are on. I just put a bolt between the tray and the frame and it worked fine.

Enjoy your PP hitch

Thanks for all the info guys.

Does anyone know what size washers or spacers I may need for the propane tanks? I will be doing to install at our storage unit, so I really need to make sure I have all I need with me when I go.

I put 4 or 5 where each screw goes into the frame. Just enough to get it over the ubolt is all you need, don't put too many or the current screws will not have enough length. FYI I also had to move the Break away switch as it was in the way, just moved it to the side.

Let me know how it goes when you're all finished. I've been wanting one of these for a couple of years, but haven't been able to pull the trigger. I'll be interested to see how the install goes and what your towing impressions are.

I just received the hitch this past Tuesday, so I have not installed yet. Plus, we just moved on Wednesday. I hoping to get down this coming weekend and do the install. I will update when completed.

Looks like I may get to install this weekend.

Can anyone tell what size and grade the safety chains are? I'm pretty sure I'll have to extend them by a few links.

Thanks.

The suspense is killing me! I have the same trailer and have been itching to get one of these hitches... your experience may just sway me to do it (that, and my current WD hitch is jacked up, which means I have to do SOMETHING in the near future).

Sorry for taking so long.

I did get the install completed weekend before last. It was extremely easy, and the instructions provided were spot on.

The only down side is that I have not towed with it yet. We keep our camper at our lake in indoor storage, and only have to tow 1 mile to our campground. So I've only been two miles at a speed of 35mph so far, lol....

I will be towing a long distance in two weeks when we head to Bristol, Tn for the NHRA drag race weekend. I will definitely give a detailed update then, but for the little I've had to do with it so far, I am pleased.

Installing a Propride 3p on 32BHDS

Interested to hear ur thoughts in the hitch. I am looking to get a trailer here soon and have decided the PP hitch is the one I'm going to use. All the money in the truck and trailer and the safety of my family makes it a necessary expense imo
