Now that's something that you don't see every day. It's interesting that it was a Jayco being pulled.......

I saw a Class A towing a 25'+ TT in upper E TN a couple months ago. Was so shocked to see that I did not even think of trying to get a picture of it. Not sure of the actual size/length of the TT but it was NOT a HB or pop up for sure. Must have been a large family to warrant that much room on a camping trip.

Actually this is quite common. I see at least one of these setups every year in WI. People do this to accommodate friends and family so everyone has a bit of privacy.

Not allowed in California with a class C license
When I did my towing endorsement test at the DMV it was clear that you can't tow two trailers behind a truck unless you have a commercial class A license with double endorsement. I want to tow a jet ski behind mine but I'm not sure I want to get into all these licensing requirements.

CA allows triple tow but I don't know what the rules and regs are. I see it quite often when heading to the SW for the winter. Some large A's pull an enclosed stacker almost as big as the MH.

In Texas (and New Mexico) we can - haven't done it yet but once I get my utv I may look into it. The total length allowed is 65' .

The alternative is a single wheel trailer that doesn't count as a triple tow. Some can be converted to be used behind a truck when not on the RV.

Two bumper pull trailers can't be legal in any state, especially no brakes on the boat trailer! This guy had CA plates, I don't think the Oregon state troopers would give him a pass, as it's illegal to pull doubles here.

RE: Strange towing combinations: Not a triple tow, but several years ago, encountered a situation down in Central FL where a pickup truck pulling an airboat on a trailer had engine trouble. The guy had his wife steer the truck while he cranked up the airboat and used it to push the whole kit and caboodle down the highway. The arresting FHP was not amused, (or at least didn't admit it).

Seen in Gresham Oregon. Did a double take. That can’t be legal!

How Wisconsin law is write, as I read it, this is fully legal. There is a lot of wording about not allowed to tow in poor weather and road conditions.

I tandem towed a boat behind our travel trailer for 6 years here in Indiana without incident. Here I think the max length is 75''. Checked with local law enforcement before doing it and got the ok. I did get the impression that even they weren't sure of the law involving this set up.

We triple tow almost all the time. In MN/WI we pull a 5th wheel and boat combo and snowbirding the boat is replaced with a 6x10 cargo trailer. It is illegal on the east coast. There is some discrepancy about total length-each state is different and they seem to change it all the time. Our fiver is not quite 30 feet pin to hitch and our length limit with the boat is fine up north where it is 70'. With the cargo trailer we are just shy of 60'. We purchased a Jayco because they are the only one to offer a hitch for these purposes, in fact, the brochure showed a boat on the back. We ran into a couple 2 years ago who had a Motorhome, ATV trailer and then towed a jeep on the back of that. They were pulled over in AZ and tried to argue it. They didn't win. Quite frankly, we would never attempt triple towing the boat anywhere other than northern MN/WI, where the traffic is at a minimum.
