jayco 195rb brakes

I've got a 2018 Jayco 195rb (baja), and a 2006 Silverado 2500HD 6L Gas w/ the tekonsha primus brake controller. I can't seem to get the trailer brakes to do much.

While stopped, I would hold the slide button on the brake controller and set the voltage to 13. Then drive at about 25 mph, coast, and then grab the brake controller slide button. I could feel the trailer brakes grab a bit, but not much. I was expecting to be able to lock up the trailer tires.

The controller was installed the morning I picked up my trailer, so I'm new with both of them.

Is there some manual adjustment needed for the trailer brakes? For example, something the dealer forgot to setup?

How many miles you got on your 195RB? It takes time for the brakes to set proper. If no grease is visible on the inside of the rims then the seals would be OK.

Here is a link to a article on etrailer.com regarding break-in and manual adjustment for electric drum brakes that might be useful:

I've got about 200-250 miles on it.
