Joined the Ford Camp

Well, I finally did it. I've been kicking around a new truck for months and finally pulled the trigger. I was going to sell my Cummins and buy a Super Duty, but I ended up deciding to keep my old Dodge and picked up a new 2018 F150 Max Tow 3.5 L Ecoboost. 1857# Payload as per the door sticker should be just fine with my little 22BHM.

Thanks. I've always like white. My wife hates it, but she didn't have the choice.

If I read the chart correctly, I believe it is 10700# with the 157" wheelbase and the 3.55 gears. I'd have to look again to confirm.

Nice. My oldest son just bought an XLT super cab F150. There are some good deals on them now. It's a real nice riding truck.

Thanks. The deal was very good.

I've never owned anything like this before. I'm usually a plain work truck kind of guy. It will take me forever to figure out how to work everything.

Congratulations Midnightmoon! Don't worry about all of the new tech. You'll figure it out over time and then be spoiled and wonder how you lived all of this time without it!

No. I found that very interesting also. It will not be a problem with my narrow Jayco 7. But it worked out to be a little negotiation tool for me.

Here's the window sticker. It looks like the Max Tow Package basically gives you the integrated brake controller, 36 gal tank, and the manual fold away mirrors. I'm honestly not sure what else they do if anything as compared to the other trucks.

Credit card was busy today. Ordered a tonneau cover, Husky Liners, etc. It's been so long since I purchased a new truck, I forgot how fun, but expensive, all the extras are to shop for.

Congrats..it is a beauty. The ecoboost trucks i have driven were real eye openers. Turbos change the game.

I agree. I have nothing against the other available engines, but this little turbo 6 really pulls. Almost has a diesel feel when the boost builds.

Added a few accessories today. Tonneau from American Tonneau Company and some Husky Floor Liners.

I have the same tonneau cover on my F-250. I purchased the Husky mats front/back as well and like them a lot more than my previous Weathertechs. Your truck looks great!

Thanks. I haven't been this excited over a vehicle in a long time. Of course, this is my first new truck in 11 years, so that may be part of it.

The reviews that I read online were excellent on that tonneau. I have always used Extang before this. They have been OK also, but I really liked how simple this one was to mount and use.
