Do you guys use the dryer sheets when the surface is wet or dry? I scrubbed/rubbed the bugs with a dryer sheet and nothing happened. Wasn't sure if the surface of the RV should be wet?

Wet. The softener sheet will begin to shed off some of whatever magic it has into the water. I get the surface wet and that's usually enough. I use a somewhat powerful, concentrated spray nozzle (not a pressure washer or anything) to get the area wet and blast some of the bigger, easier chunks off. Then just go at it with the sheet to get the tough stuff off. I've also just dipped the softener sheet in a water bucket and that works too. To do the front of my truck, it usually takes me anywhere from 2-5 sheets depending on how many bugs I've killed.

Just for reference (IDK if it makes a difference) I use Bounce brand dryer sheets. That's what DW keeps around, so that's what I have.

LOL, gotta use em wet. I knock the big stuff off with a hose blast, then dip the dryer sheets in my wash bucket & scrub with them (lightly). That way I get the benefit of the dryer sheet as well as some of the car wash soap. I have used them for years and never had them scratch. Also, I just buy the cheap store brand, or whatever is on sale. We don't use them in our laundry because DW is very sensitive to strong smells and whatever they put in them to make the fabric "soft".

I thought my ears were burning!

I use them wet as others have stated.

I add a little DAWN to the mix it works for me.

I also just use the cheap sheets and have not noticed a difference.

Yea I bought the target brand. I'll report back tonight how it worked out. I don't have a lot of bugs, I thought it was worse until I got on a ladder to scrub them off.
