Well they are rated for 65 mph but I was driving around 55 and 60. The flat is not the problem it is the tire beak down. I had Kenda tires on my Cardinal and Never used it untill I replaced the tires. Kendas were Super Junk !!!!
The 4 biggest cause of Tire failure other than a nail or cut in tire from hitting something in the road, are:

1. Underinflated Tires

2. Over loaded Trailer

3. Speed (over 60 MPH towing) ST Tires

4. Age of tires

I was looking at the Michelins for my truck a month ago and the tire guy said that he saw a fair amount of sidewalls craked before the tread wore out. Then he showed me a car in for 4 new tires as a result of this exact issue on some young car tires. They did not blow out but they looked pretty bad upon inspection.

He did say however that in most cases depending on tread life left, Michelin stood by them with a prorated warranty for a percentage off new replacements as long as they were Michelins. I guess once you get in the cycle you can't get out.
