Lowering the Pinbox on Jayco 2011 321RLTS??

I just went out and purchased a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali 4x4 yesterday. The issue is GMC, Chevy, Ford etc. keep raising the height from the ground to the top of the Bed rails on all these new trucks. I had around 5 inches from top of bed rail to the bottom of the 5th with my 2012 GMC Denali 4x4.

My hitch is a Reese Signature series with a slider, and is currently on its highest section.

I need to make some room between the truck and the 5th wheel.

I believe the pinbox is adjustable, It is a Dexter Chassis Group AF7926 with what look's like a serial number to the right 221-0006-00

Has anyone adjusted this pinbox before, and do you have any information on it.

A few questions need to be answered. Have you hooked up and measured the clearance with the new truck? If so, how much clearance do you have?

Is your FW level when hooked up? Do you have any adjustment on your spring hangers that could raise the trailer height? What size wheels are on you FW?

If you lower your pin box will your trailer be "nose high"?

I installed a MorRyde hitch on another fiver and uses the same holes. It had several other sets of holes that could have been used to adjust or lower the pin height.
Verify the torque requirements.

We had to do it with our 2011 30.5RLS and a 2016 Tundra. We took off the tailgate to get working room. Then hooked up and raised the front of the trailer with the legs to remove the hitch weight. Removed all the bolts and raised the trailer some more to realign with the pin lower. About the time we had it completely apart, I was wondering what we were going to do if we couldn't get it back together, but all went well. Don't forget a breaker bar to remove the nuts and a torque wrench to reinstall them. Air tools were a big help, but not necessary.
