Sad to hear. I have been pulling my NP with my F-250 for 15-20k miles and would like to upgrade to a 350/450 limited or King Ranch. After a refit on the rear it handles the NP ok, close to pin weight by doing fine (so far). Steady as shes goes I say.

I have tried posting pics from my photo library in the past with no success. Can you advise me how to. When I go to "insert image" it asks for a URL address which is of no use.
Thanks

The only difference between a same-optioned F250 and F350 is the rear spring pack. The snow plow, camper, etc. packages are the same across both lines. The more significant changes come in with the F450.

I'm sure your truck pulls that 5er just fine, the question is are you over your payload for that truck? Assuming a crew cab, I would bet your payload on your sticker is low-mid 2000s at best, which is probably right on the pin weight and you get nothing extra in the truck (passengers, gear in the truck all take away from that payload number). The 10,000 GVWR cap on the 250 is a real payload killer.

You can get a 350 with 11,600 and 12,400 GVWR, which is where the extra payload comes from.

How do you like the Ram, I have also been looking at them. I have always had Fords but I am afraid of leaving and getting a Ram lemon. Just curious to how it handles, payload and how that diesel stacks up.

happy with the ram so far no problems, I think there is a risk of anything new being a lemon. I like that i can open the hood and still actually see the ground inside, try that with the ford, its all hoses wires and insulation. LOL there were some changes to both ram and ford in 2019, they both increased the torque of their engines. it pulls very nicely, since my trailer is 5,500 lbs, when fully loaded. So really cant tell you much about that.haven't really looked at the towing numbers, (just did 2018 diesel auto GCWR 17,100 lbs.) not counting fuel/ cooler full of beer and lobsters/ wife and all her shorts, t-shirts and swim trunks.

I have a 2018 3500 diesel Ram and love it, my payload is 3799 lbs and my towing is 17,150 lbs, my GCWR is 25,300 lbs and my GVWR is 11,700 lbs so I have more than what I need to tow what I have.
