Maybe a New F350

Ok. going to take a look at a new 2019 F350 XLT 4X4 3.55 with a payload of 3513 tomorrow. The price is to good to pass up...... the 5er that we are looking at is a Jayco 317rlok Jayco. it has a dry weight of 10733 and a GVWR of 12995. Based on the weights I believe Im good. If I totally load this thing up to its max and with about 600lbs of passangers and gear in the truck I will have around 500 to 600 pound of payload left over. math check what do u folks think....

That’s about right. Depends on hitch weight, but you should be fine. Good luck!

Yes you will be good, I have a 321 rsts 2019 and my payload with that fully loaded ready to go camping is 2,700 lbs and the payload of my 2018 3500 is 3799 lbs. That might be lower now since I bought a different and lighter 5th wheel hitch.

I’ll throw my agreement in as well. I have the same trail as Big1 and a Chevy 3500 SRW. Plenty of payload room and the truck does an admirable job a controlling the trailer.

Hope the purchase works out for you.

MTR20 did you end up buying the F350?
We max out our 2019 F350 STX (3700lb payload) with a 41’ Jayco toy hauler and the truck does amazing.

What are your GVWRs on these F350s? I'm surprised the payloads are so low. I just brought home a 2020 F350 Lariat crew cab, long bed, 6.7 with just about every option and my payload on the yellow sticker is 4513.

No SRW, but 12,400 GVWR, which explains that extra payload.

What did they do to piss you off? Which dealership? I am all for public shaming of greasy dealerships.

We have 2019 Jayco 317RLOK - pull with 2015 F350 6.7L Diesel. Put over 8,000 miles on on camper last year - TX, LA, NY, WI - used the same truck to pull 39' Montana 3750FL across continental divide twice. Great truck.

MTR20, We have a 2018 317RLOK . We tow with a ‘19 F350 6.7L CCLB FX4 410’s 5585 payload. We scale the trailer at just under 12000lbs.Cruise all day long at 70. I sometimes forget the trailer is back there. I think you’ll really enjoy the 2020. Good Luck.

I feel your frustration, In 2018 My first choice was to buy a f-350 diesel, but my local ford dealership wouldn't stop playing games, so i walked, The next day, went to the Ram dealership and bought my pickup in less than an hour.

Weigh your truck empty. I'll think you'll be surprised. I have a 2018 F250, 6.7, longed. EMPTY I'm 8650 on the scale. I have the 317RLOK too, and I'm good everywhere except GVWR, I'm over there bt 1000lbs. Payload on sticker is one thing, but nothing matters until you get on the scales.

Take a look at the F250. I may actually give you a better payload since the front end is a bit lighter. My understanding is that the F350 has a heavier front suspension for snow plow work. My'19 F250 Lariat PS handles our 32RLTS w/ gen with no problem.

Do you have any pics of your setup, I would like to see it?
