My Contribution To the List of 'OMG' Tow Photos

I almost forgot!

During a day of bike riding at the campground, we were passing the dump lanes. OMG. I spotted a camper coming around the corner to enter the dump lanes. I watched it roll by and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I'm now contributing to the list of famous tow photos.
I was trying to not make it completely obvious that I was photographing the camper. Believe me, the angles in the photo hides the fact, the set-up LOOKED even worse than what you can glean from the photo.

probably not a big deal. Likely doesn't go far. Its not like it has a CT plate but photographed in Alaska. I see a lot of people that are local camp at Hammo. That setup would have torn the bejesus out of the trailer on the road to our campground. Sooner or later it will happen. and yah there probably is no sway protection so stay away far far far away

A way out of balance trailer
Looks tail heavy but likely the hitch height is too high
my guess is the trailer or truck was borrowed snd not matched well
Nose down a little on the trailer is more stable

The back panel on the side is hinged at the top so just pull it out a bit and your in

it did look like they hooked up to a truck where the hitch was really high. I tried not to gawk...

I=We ride our tandem trike all over the campground. I spent the time checking out all the set-ups. Believe it or not, I didn't see anything that jumped out at me as 'woah...scary.' until this.

Y'all remind me of the old salts hanging out at the Marina laughing at all of us berthing our sailboats in 20 knots of wind at flood tide . . . . :-)

Makes you wonder ... and I've certainly seen worse! No photos or video but was driving from Dallas to Houston not too long ago, spotted a guy in a nice new Land Rover, towing one of those tiny Airstreams - both super short vehicles. He was doing about 75 and looked like a rattlesnake going down the road the thing was fish-tailing so much!

Looks like he has caster wheels on the back, so it's OK!

If you zoom in to the rear bumper area, it looks like he installed some wheelies like they use on dragsters to keep it from dragging. Don't know how long those would last on the highway.

I bet the first time he pulled up to an intersection with a signal light above, he said "Oops".

tow vehicle kayak

It was less than 2" from the ground on a flat surface, he had to have had a new drain hole before this trip was over....
