New 2500 RAM mpg,weight,review etc.

First trip with our new RAM 2500 diesel SLT 4X4 crew cab 8' bed. Our TT is a 2017 JayFlight 23RB. First we stopped at a CAT scale for a total combined weight of 14,500 lbs. Round trip mileage over the North Cascades highway and back was 320. According to my onboard computer, our fuel mileage for the entire trip was 13.7 mpg. Considering the MPG also included passing a class A while traveling up a 7% incline, I'm happy. I was especially impressed with the exhaust brake feature. That combined with the tow setting resulted in minimal brake usage over steep a pass. This is a feature I probably would not want to live without in future trucks. Overall the RAM is a huge upgrade from my old Ford 2000 F250 7.3 Powerstroke and after 16 years of faithful service it was time for a new truck.

My onboard MPG is always way off versus paper. You may want to do it by hand a bit. On my 2500 I get around 8-9mpg in tow just to double check it.
