Well back from Holidays, now looking to replace the bush bar on the truck.
Have looked at he Ranch Hand front Grill
Any comments on them?
Where is the best place and price to get one?
Even thinking of getting one across the line in October when I am down there for Thanksgiving.

Topics/discussions associated with our TV's will have increased visibility and response in the "Towing and Tow Vehicle" forum...., posted in the "Travel Trailer" forum they tend to get buried quickly and overlooked in the mix with Travel Trailer topics.
As you are aware, a temporary automatic re-direct was placed in the original forum. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

You may have trouble finding a new replacement as dealers will have a hard if not impossible finding one thats still sitting around that will fit. When ever a new model comes out they quit making the old model. I'm guessing there's prolly been 5-6 changes in body styles since yours.
Good luck though.

hi
That right
The old one is not available anymore , so looking for a new one.
I like the look of the Ranch Hand.
They say it will fit the Dodge.
Insurance claim, they will cover 50% of the cost. Because of the grill being old.
Alright off to work. The traffic has been terrible this last week.

Last year I paid $535 for my '02 F350's grill guard about a year ago. I chose the model with the rock guard screen to protect all the stuff I have behind the grill. Bought it at a Ranch Hand Supply store. Couldn't find a better price, but found it competitive vs. other brands.

We've been watching those Canadian home fixer-upper shows with all the hundred year old wrecks going for over a half-million. I'd love to have a thread on how you all can afford them!
I bought mine from a local retail store. It's affiliated with Ranch Hand Truckfitters, but maybe you could look on the Truckfitters site and go from there. A nice winter in Texas where most of their stores are?

I have friend daughter, who is a long haul truck driver. She loves Texas
Has two dogs named after cities there.
I may even call her.
But she is hauling in Canada now.

Texas has really nice homes for 3 or 400k, much more than we'd need as empty nesters, but the taxes there are outrageous IMHO.

Taxes are about the same no matter where you live in the USA. Naturally higher in places like NYC or Chicago etc. My property taxes are high, but we have no state income tax and our sales tax rate is 6.25 percent up to 8.25 according to what people vote in.
Some states have low property taxes...but have high sales taxes and state and city income taxes. It all balances out though.

You may be right when it comes to the total tax burden, but I was looking at it from a retiree's standpoint. I should have mentioned that. As our income is lower than when working and we've already bought more stuff than we know what to do with, real estate taxes are THE major consideration for many of us. Not all, but certainly me and DW.
"Worst States for Property Taxes
"The Tax Foundation found that homeowners in these states paid the most in property taxes compared to home value. The percentages represent the percentage of home value that homeowners pay in property taxes.
"New Jersey - 1.89%
New Hampshire - 1.86%
Texas - 1.81%
Wisconsin - 1.76%
Nebraska - 1.70%
Illinois - 1.73%
Connecticut - 1.63%
Michigan - 1.62%
Vermont - 1.59%
North Dakota - 1.42%"
We looked into Texas because a good friend wanted us to go there. I was initially attracted by homes priced at half of what we're used to, but soon scared off by those tax numbers. Besides, being from D.C. most of our lives we'd lose a lot of friends if we got that near the Cowboys!

Being over 65 we get a lot of deductions as well as home stead exemption. Our school taxes are frozen when we reach 65 and school taxes are about 90 percent of the tax bill. My propery taxes went from $7800 yearly to about $4000 with all the deductions and now I don't have to worry about anymore increase in the school tax no matter what my home is worth. And no state income tax.

You guys are making me look bad, I told the OP that there would be increased TV responses in the "Towing and Tow Vehicle" forum.
"Taxes" beats "Bush Guard" reply posts!
Well, the OP is participating, so I guess all is well.
