New Land Cruiser engine is probably what will end up in the next gen Tundra.

The new Land Cruiser was announced with the TT V6 making 409 hp and 479 tq.

It looks like it has a mechanical cooling fan which i am hoping will also show up in the tundra. One thing I really appreciate about the current tundra is that Toyota didn’t sacrifice cooling and performance for the sake of efficiency.

Interesting. I’ve been looking for info in regards to the new tundra turbo motor. I bet you’re right on this. Is the 5.7 that they reference having been in the previous land cruiser the same as current tundra 5.7?

Yes the 5.7 is the same. The only difference is that the LC got an 8 speed transmission around 2012 or 2014 or something like that whereas the tundra has a 6 speed

I believe the engine code is V35A. It is used in the Lexus LS500
