Another supporter of Goodyear Endurance here. I got mine at Discount Tire for 119 each. I never, never, ever buy road hazard coverage, but for some strange reason I did with this set. They have just under 10,000 miles on them now and I picked up nails in two of them (different occasions last summer) and did plug road repairs. I took them to Discount at the beginning of this season to get better repairs than my plugs and they replaced them instead for free. The old ones look just about as good as the new ones! Highly recommended.

You were lucky. Plug repairs can void the regular tire warranty. I think the only reason you were taken care of was the "road hazard" warranty.

New tires -- Goodyear Endurance?

Just put a set of 225/75r15 Endurance tires on my 28bhbe for $102/per from Discount Tire. They did an OUTSTANDING job installing taking extra care to not damage axles and/or springs. Also got a discount on the installation. Needless to say, they just earned my business on all of my vehicles.

Having said that, I had right at 10k on the Raniers that came with my rig. We dodged a huge bullet coming back from the beach the other day as I found where the tread started separating from the tire.

Haven't hauled it more than a couple of miles from the tire shop so I'm looking forward to the 1st good tow. Was experiencing a lot of porpoising the last trip or two on the old tires.

Wondering what you paid for the Raniers?

What was the purpose of comparing an e rated tire to a g rated tire. They do not compare nor compete against each other.

Hey shrp,

I bought the same tires over Memorial Day weekend from America’s tire (Discount as well) but haven’t installed them yet. I also have the same wheels as you. I’m looking forward to going to load range “E” from “D” but I’m not sure about our wheels capabilities with 80psi? I hear they are stamped inside to note the rating. Did you see this rating?

Thanks!

As long as you have 6 lug wheels they will handle 80psi. When I changed to the Endurance a few years back I had Load C and had to go up to Load E in the Endurance. The wheels were not stamped on the inside, Jayco didn't know so they put me in contact with their wheel supplier, they told me the 6 lug will handle 80psi and that it has.

I finally got them installed yesterday. America’s Tire did a great job. It’s always a good experience dealing with them.

I had them install all metal valves too. Balancing was included.

They were pretty stiff on the (empty) drive home

I finally got mine installed. $96 per tire at Goodyear. One thing I hadn't had happen before they suggested I replace the lug nuts. They were really difficult to remove with power, I'm not certain I could have gotten them off by hand, on the side of a road, at night, in the rain. Always thinking worst case.

As suggested earlier I picked up an old and a new tire, what a difference in weight.

Switched to GY Endurance tires on my 2017 Jayflight last month, IMO compared to the OEM Rainier......well let's just say, NO COMPARISON !!!!! LOL

The real test came early, yesterday towed 6 hours in crosswinds blowing 40 KPH with gusts to 70 KPH.........the lateral stability of the tire made a huge difference in reducing trailer sway and adding to overall control.

Lov'em!!!!!!

Looks like in the photo they jacked up your trailer by the axles!
Discount tire knows enough to jack it up by the frame only.

I also had them replace the lug nuts. The originals had a cap of sorts over the nut. I found these caps would loosen up over the nut itself. Seemed like a point of failure with a potential mangled cap and a challenge getting the lug itself off at the most in opportune time.

I didn’t think too much about this at the time. What kind of a problem could this have caused? Thanks.

I finally had a blowout on my China bombs after about 5,000 miles. I got a price of $699 for 4 tires (225/75R 15 D) from Goodyear with the 117 N ratings. Will have the ENDURANCEs installed tomorrow!
