With our tank, yours probably the same, we can comfortably go about 300-350 miles towing.

Main reason I'm looking at an extra tank is if/when we run across some some fuel at a really good price we can take advantage. Plus not having to stop as often.

A member in our camping group has a 51 gallon tank in his bed and he recently when on a trip from Reno taking I-80 West to the coast up to So. Oregon then met our group for an outing in No. Cal. He said he had enough to get back to Reno and did not have to stop for fuel. 650 + miles pulling their 39' 5ver. Has had his tank for a few years and swears by them.

Had our first trip with the RDS 63 gallon aux tank installed. Best thing I have done for the truck. Fueled up in vegas for $3.49 and went to SoCal for a week. Cruised right by the interstate truck stops with diesel at $4.59. Put a few extra gallons in while we were camping at Port Hueneme Naval Base. Never had to worry about where I would fill up or wasting time standing in line at truck stops to pay for fuel. It's an awesome convenience and may save me a few dollars in the long run.

Rob, that's a nice truck - the Duramax and Allison should be a sweet combo.

Safe travels!

Thanks BO, you also have a nice looking setup too.

We may look at a Aux Tank in the future, right now just need to get the bed liner sprayed in and the hitch installed so we can hit the road in about a week.
