New TV- Back to gas after 12 years

Started with an "05 Excursion with the 6.0l PSD [trouble free] then traded it in on a 2012 F-250 6.7l PSD. Both trucks served me very well but after towing our camper 8 times in the last 2 years I decided to go back to gas. Unfortunately this situation won't change for the next 3-4 years. My '12 had reached it's maximum trade value and I got a really good deal on the new truck. The 6.2l gas is no slouch by any means @ 385hp and 430 ft.lbs of torque. In comparison with my "12 PSD I'm losing 15 hp and 370 ft.lbs of torque and that's where I'll feel it. On a more positive note my payload went from 2390lbs to a whopping 3305lbs! The 2017 F-250 is ~5 inches longer and ~5 inches taller in the back so I'll have to adjust the WDH and it BARELY fit in the garage both height/length wise as I had to do some drywall adjustment on the back wall. Within 5 years our plans are to spend winters in our new 5th wheel somewhere warm so I will be going back to diesel, but for now the gas truck seems logical. Here's some pics.

Nice. And you've hit on something I've thought about before. If I were moving up from my current F150 with Heavy Duty package to a F250, I'd stay with the 6.2L gasser just because of the huge CCC penalty of the much heavier diesel drive train.

Now if I were getting an F350, it would be diesel all the way.

Congratulations! We have the 2017 6.2l gasser and love it. We're anxious to see how it does pulling the new 28.5 HT. Once we retire and start traveling more, may move to a diesel.

Congrats again on the new TV!

Good looking truck. Good choice of color too. Black has the best reliability and yields the best MPG.
